Amicae, a Latin word for friend, is an auxiliary group of the sorority made up of women who, for various reasons, are not members of any Greek-letter organization but are committed to service, goodwill and cooperation among women. Zeta is the first sorority in the National Pan-Hellenic Council to organize an auxiliary group. Zeta Amicae are affiliated through local chapters and there are more than 170 chapters in the United States.
